All workshops will be held across three locations in North East Valley apart from Monday. They are a walkable distance within the time between classes. Monday classes are held in Sargood Centre, Logan Park.
CLASSES RUN ALL DAY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY PLUS MONDAY MORNING UNTIL 1PM
THE FESTIVAL RUNS ON A 'PICK YOUR OWN PATH' STYLE. HERE IS A BREAKDOWN OF WHAT THE DIFFERENT 'LEVELS' MEAN.
BEGINNER: For absolute beginners!
OPEN: Everyone who knows the basic shapes, rhythms, and values of the dance is welcome.
CHALLENGE: Fast learners/more experienced dancers will get the most out of these classes.
PERFORMANCE: These are 2 hour classes where you will learn some choreography and perform it on Sunday night at the evening social.
We have a limited amount of space to offer single class passes this year. If you want to attend workshops and don't have a full pass you'll need to buy a single class pass at the Festival Hub (Nga Maara Hall) BEFORE heading to the space your prefered workshop is in.
SINGLE CLASS PASS: $25
Spaces are still limited due to venue sizes so it will be on a first-come-first-served basis for your preferred class.
There is plenty of space to join us on the Monday for the two classes being held at Sargood Centre.
The Saturday & Sunday workshop spaces are all on North Road with a maximum walking distance of 15 minutes. Monday is at Sargood Centre in Logan Park. Don't worry - we've made a handy map for you so you don't get lost.
NB: we have a new classroom venue this year, North East Valley Bowling Club. Still on North Road though so you won't get lost.
