When is the festival this year?

Thursday 29th May - Monday 2nd June 2025. The first social dance starts at 8pm on Thursday evening and our last social dance ends mid afternoon on Monday.

What days are the workshops on, do we need to be there on Monday?

There are classes all day Saturday and Sunday, and until around 1pm on the Monday. Thursday night and Friday are all social dance and fun activities. Check out the run sheet.

We are coming from out of town, where should we stay?

All classes are located in North East Valley apart from Monday which is in central Dunedin. All evening socials are in Central Dunedin. It takes all of 15 minutes to drive anywhere around Dunedin so staying anywhere in the main suburban areas will be pretty close but if you don't have a car, the main bus line out to NEV goes often enough and heads through the main street (George St). We suggest staying in the Central or North Dunedin area for convenience.

Can I pay for single workshops?

This year, there will be some spaces for people to attend single workshops. We have limited pass numbers due to our classroom sizes so we can make sure that it is a comfortable learning environment for everyone attending so ability to attend a particular class will be on a first-come-first-served basis. The two classes scheduled for Monday are in a larger venue so will be open to anyone and you can pay cash at the door.

How do I pay for single workshops?

Single class passes for SATURDAY & SUNDAY need to be bought BEFORE the class at our festival hub at Nga Maara Hall. Single workshops are $25.
